  • New Life Pregnancy Center Thrift Shoppe

    New life has many opportunities in the Thrift Shoppe.  Monday - Saturday 9:00 am - 3:00 pm.  There are several jobs needed.  Contact Marcia Juriga, the FBC Liaison or New Life directly at 217.872.5555

FBC Volunteer Opportunities

There is a place for you to serve.  We would love to have you join our volunteer team.  Here are some opportunities to pray about.  We also have a GET CONNECTED board with information cards to find contacts and ministry needs.  Take a look on the board often!

  • Bus ministry

    Drivers are needed to drive the bus on Sunday morning and special events.


  • Greeters Ministry

    The gift of a welcoming smile is just what we are looking for at the front door on Sunday mornings. 

    Please contact the FIT chairperson for more information on training and schedules.  


  • Christian Education ministrty

    Do you have the gift of teaching?  We need regular and substitute teaches.  

    Adults or Children volunteers are needed.



  • Music and Worship Ministry

    The Music Ministry is the place to be if you sing, play an instrument, play handbells or just want to make a joyful noise.  Contact Pastor Mike for more information, we would love to have you involved.


  • Visitation and care Ministry

    Do you have the gift of cheer and prayer? The Diaconate Board would love to talk to you about our visitation ministry.  Contact the Chairperson for more information.


  • Kitchen Ministry

    Is one of your favorite things hanging in the kitchen and making hungry members smile?  

    We have a place for you around the kitchen island helping our cooks prepare meals for activities, funeral dinners and special events.  We have a team that helps with funeral dinners,  concerts  and  quarterly meetings .  We also have a team that helps with   Senior Adult Ministry events. 

  • Parking Lot Ministry


    Is your gift working in the outdoors?  We need volunteers to help members with valet parking, wheel chairs, umbrellas , snow brushes and a helpful "arm" of support.

  • Trustee Ministry

    This are a few "to do" projects that need to be addressed.

      If you have the handy man talent, see the Trustee Chairperson....we would love to plug you in!


  • Finance and ADMINIStrative Ministry

    Is your gift numbers, bookkeeping, accounting, computers, filing, fundraising or just like office and administrative work?  The Board of Finance could use your help with administrative duties.  

    Contact the Financial Secretary or the Chairperson of the Board.
